PRODUCTION BREWER

Responsibilities include carrying out daily brewhouse and cellaring duties within quality systems, developing your knowledge and understanding of brewing technologies and processes, and always working within a team.

We are looking for someone who has a flexible approach to work, alongside the brewer role we are looking for someone who is keen to represent the brand at events and also in the taproom when required within contracted hours.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out daily brewhouse duties, when on shift with our Head of Production:

Work alongside HOP operating the brewhouse.

Assist HOP in all aspects of wort production.

Brewhouse CIPs.

Assisting other brewers during shift overlaps.

Performing basic quality checks.

Ensuring correct use, storage and stock level management of relevant raw materials (malt, hops, salts etc).

Assisting HOP in Project work where needed.

Carrying out daily Cellaring duties, including:

Measuring in tank CO2/DO.

Ensuring beer is in spec for packaging dates.

Yeasting / hopping off vessels as required.

Carrying out Vessel cleans (CIPs).

Operating our Dry - Hopping procedure.

Monitoring fermentation, ensuring Fermentation profiles are adhered to.

Performing basic quality checks.

Assisting HOP in Project work where needed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

At least 2 year experience working in a Production Brewer role environment – required

IBD General Certificate (or similar) in Brewing or Packaging – desirable.

Ability to work well in a team in a fast - paced Production environment

Strong communication and time management skills

Strong record keeping abilities

Positive and committed attitude to work

Demonstrate a passion for the industry and Floc. as a business.
