Cloud Forms - Fresh New Zealand Harvest
Every year there's a point we look forward to more than almost any other.
The arrival of fresh New Zealand hops from Freestyle Hops.
There's something special about brewing with hops that have only recently left the bine. The aromas are brighter, the flavours feel more defined, and they capture a moment in time that only comes around once a year. It's why we hold back recipes, plan collaborations months in advance and wait patiently for harvest to make the journey from New Zealand to Canterbury.
For 2026, we wanted to celebrate that moment properly.
The result is Cloud Forms - a three-beer collaboration brewed alongside our friends at DEYA Brewing Company.
A Collaboration Built Around the Harvest
We're good friends with the team at DEYA. Like us, they obsess over texture, balance and letting exceptional hops speak for themselves.
Rather than producing a single collaboration beer, we wanted to explore what this year's Freestyle harvest could become across three different formats.
The same philosophy.

From traditional cask through to a saturated DDH IPA, each beer showcases the incredible character of this year's New Zealand crop.

Built to be soft, bright and endlessly drinkable, Motueka delivers fresh lime zest, NZ Cascade brings vibrant citrus character, while Nelson Sauvin layers subtle white grape aromatics throughout.

The heart of the series.
Double dry-hopped with three of our favourite Freestyle varieties, this beer brings together juicy peach from Nectaron, vibrant lime from Motueka, and Nelson Sauvin's unmistakable white-grape character.
Everything sits on the soft, pillowy body we've become known for, creating a pale ale that's saturated with flavour while remaining incredibly easy to drink.

The fullest expression of the harvest.
Nelson Sauvin provides layers of gooseberry and white grape, Peacharine adds ripe stone fruit, Nectaron builds juicy tropical depth, while Tropical Fusion ties everything together with vibrant citrus and exotic fruit character.
Soft, saturated and intensely aromatic, it's everything we love about fresh New Zealand hops in one glass.

For us, Freestyle continue to produce some of the most exciting hops in the world.
Their focus on terroir, picking at optimum ripeness and preserving each lot's unique character means every harvest arrives bursting with life. Rather than chasing consistency, they embrace seasonal variation, allowing each vintage to express itself naturally.

The Name - Cloud Forms
The name came naturally.
Clouds are constantly moving, shifting and reforming, never quite the same twice.
Like each New Zealand harvest, they're fleeting, seasonal and impossible to replicate exactly.
For a few weeks each year we get to work with hops at their absolute freshest. Once they're gone, they're gone until next harvest.
Cloud Forms is our celebration of that moment.
